WPD in Plymouth hosts an impressive IT department supporting a mobile workforce using a wide variety of systems and devices. Our IT specialists develop and manage a range of mobile, web and back-office applications on multiple platforms including Apple, Windows and Linux.
We host a significant server and database infrastructure in our own datacentres as well as manage all aspects of cybersecurity and telecommunications.

These IT trainee vacancies will provide unique opportunities where successful individuals will explore a variety of roles before specialising and ultimately securing a post in one of these teams; applications development, infrastructure and server or database administration.
Successful trainees will be educated to degree level or equivalent in an IT related subject. They will then work alongside experienced IT professionals who are keen to share their skills with talented, motivated individuals. WPD will also fund vocational courses throughout the traineeship.
