Children's residential support worker

BS Social Care Northampton are working with a client that provides a residential home for young people with emotional and challenging behavioural difficulties.

This home takes pride in its family approach to caring for the young resident living there; all children are really settled as its predominately long term placements. It's a calm and as challenging behaviour is very rare you will be working within a team of experienced to provide a high level of care.

As the children get older there is a big focus on getting them ready for independent living, the home has separate semi independent flats to give residents a chance to have their own living space. Your role will be to assist the young people with their life skills such as cooking or cleaning. Teaching them how to manage their money and

To be successful within this role you must be approachable and encouraging with children's interests. You also need to be able to support them emotionally and promote independence and their holistic development.

We require 1 years working experience within Health and Social Care, an up to date DBS and a full UK driving licence.

This is a full time position and is able to offer morning, evenings, long days, waking night and sleep in's.
