As a Software Engineer, you'll create cutting edge software for our hardware. You'll be involved in the entire lifecycle of a product, from design and development to integration.
From head up displays and flight controls to missile targeting systems, the quality of our software is every bit as important as our hardware. In this key role, you'll be responsible for the code that underpins these products. It's a challenge that will see you getting involved in the entire development lifecycle of a product, from requirements capture to design, development, testing and integration.
As well as writing code, you'll find yourself carrying out a whole range of important tasks - from communicating with clients and creating UML diagrams to assisting with final system integration.
Work closely with both Electronic and Systems engineers, you'll enable the development of complex real-world systems that have to perform perfectly every time, as the consequences of failure could be catastrophic.
Welcome to Software Engineering in the real world.
Learning and Development
We recognise that development is key to you fulfilling your professional potential and us delivering our business commitments. That's why we've created schemes where you take ownership of your career aspirations and we give you support, training and practical experience to help you succeed.
Application Process
We open for applications on 1st September 2017, closing our Industrial Placement roles on 30th April 2018 therefore early application is advised.
We ask all candidates to apply online using our application form to ensure our selection process is completely fair and consistent.
Your online application will then go through a variety of strength-based selection methods, either online or face-to-face, and is likely to conclude at an interview with the recruiting manager(s).
If successful, you will be expected to start in the business from the end of June 2018.
