We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Gas Engineer to join our team based in Cottenham, Cambridge.

Within this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing central heating boilers and other heat producing appliances as well as the maintenance/repair work of ancillary equipment such as pumps, tanks, valves and water pipework.

You will undertake programmed, maintenance and servicing within domestic premises in conjunction with the provision of accurate records, relating to the work which has been completed.

In addition, you will erect, use and dismantle access equipment and must be prepared to act as a coach to trainees within our organisation, encouraging a positive learning environment along with obtaining (where requested) customer feedback on the completion of works. As Gas Engineer, you also have a key Health & Safety responsibility making sure all requirements are met whilst assisting with regular Health and Safety Inspections in their own workplace.

In order to be successful in this role, you should be qualified to City and Guilds/Gas Service Engineer standard and will hold an appropriate ACS certification. Candidates for this position must possess previous experience of breakdowns along with a working knowledge of installing and maintaining gas appliances.

With the ability to demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of the safety procedures required to carry out the work, you should also have the ability to understand and interpret work instructions, drawings and work in line with our current standards. You must be able to trace, diagnose and rectify faults whilst establishing and maintaining customer/client relationships coupled with excellent communication skills.
