We have an opportunity for a Lead Intelligence Officer to join the team based in Wilmslow on a full time, permanent basis. You will receive a salary £26,503 per annum plus pension and excellent benefits.
As an independent body serving the public, the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) uphold information rights for all. The ICO do this by promoting openness in public bodies, as well as data privacy for individuals. As well as this, we oversee legislation that ensures people’s data is secure, accurate and robustly managed.

The Lead Intelligence Officer is a varied and engaging role within our Intelligence Hub based in the Intelligence Department.
The Lead Intelligence Officer duties and key responsibilities:
- Liaising with new and existing stakeholders.
- Undertaking detailed research and analysis to build intelligence pictures.
- Developing and completing intelligence collection plans.
- Creating and interpreting intelligence products and identifying new and emerging threats to enable and support office wide ICO activity.
- As legislation changes, you’ll develop your expertise accordingly.
- SC clearance will be required.
Our ideal Lead Intelligence Officer will have the below skills and experience:
- Degree, equivalent qualification or relevant work experience.
- Confident communicator who can deal with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Intellect and initiative needed to make use of varied information and data sets.
- A flair for research and analysis.
