Job Elements: -
·As a product and packaging technologist, you will have an understanding of product development process from concept to launch.
·Developing specific packaging formats across various products.
·Execute projects on a day to day basis within the R&D development team
·Create product concepts as required within the product development projects
·Plan, organise and execute scale up trials of product development projects
·Ensure completion of technical R&D documentation for new products and processes for commercial scale up (raw materials, process layout, customer sample forms and finished product specifications)
·Manage the sample despatch process.
·Produce packaging prototypes/mock ups according to packaging brief to illustrate technical possibilities and assist in determining development
·Ensure completion of technical Packaging documents for new products and processes for commercial scale-up, (raw materials, production line layout, and finished product specifications).
The Ideal Candidate will:
·Degree level or equivalent experience in a food / packaging subject.
·Knowledge of product development, stage gate process and technical systems desirable.
·Knowledge of packaging development desirable.
·Minimum 2 years previous Product / Packaging experience, preferably with experience of project management in an FMCG environment.
·Experience within manufacturing environment desirable but not essential.
·Good understanding and strong interest in food product development
·Good level of computer literacy - Microsoft Excel/Word essential and SAP desirable.
