Location: Primary work location Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. Occasional travel to Peterborough, Cambridgeshire. UK
Annual Salary: GBP35,000 - GBP38,000 depending on experience/qualifications plus benefits and allowances depending on circumstances. Permanent role.

Duties and responsibilities
You will be responsible for the overall management of the HR functions, being responsible for the direct supervision of HR Advisors and HR support staff, in areas of: recruitment, ER, benefit administration, training and organisational development.
Key responsibilities include:
??Responsible for assisting Dart Container Corporation in achieving short- and long-term strategic plans to further the HR function in a way that supports company objectives and goals.
??Educate and support operations management team in the areas of recruitment, staffing and performance of employees. Responsible for leading facility efforts aimed at maintaining excellent employee relations. Provide management with the resources, development, and guidance to foster and reinforce strong positive employee relations
??Respond to employee relations issues, whether inquiries are from managers or employees. Investigate complaints and review all disciplinary action for legal and policy compliance
??Develops and implements staffing, retention, development plans and program(s) including temporary staffing to support facility needs. Maintains knowledge of local employment trends and issues. Analyses employment data and makes recommendations when appropriate
??Responsible for overseeing general employment practices including interviewing process, testing, participating in disciplinary actions and termination in accordance with corporate guidelines and local employment laws
??Identify top talent, both internally and externally, and work with local managers to assist in the attraction, recruitment, development and retention of diverse talent. Partner with appropriate departments and functions to deliver training and other required programs
??Leverage the use of tools/knowledge/informational sources to identify business trends and ensure appropriate solutions are in place to support the business
??Drive efficiency and effectiveness in the core HR technology, information and administrative processes, employment policies and practices
??Responsible for the management of company policies and procedures and the development of new policies as required. Provides research, development and implementation assistance on assigned projects
??Responsible for knowledge of corporate compensation and benefit plans
??Responsible for knowledge of health, safety, and security issues in the workplace
Candidate requirements
Job Requirements (Education, Work Experience, Certifications, Skills):
1. A relevant Degree (or CIPD qualification).
2.Extensive HR experience, including significant experience in a HR Leadership role.
3.Experience in Microsoft Office; including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint preferred.
4.Must have solid experience in metrics, including performance management and a general knowledge of principles/practices of HR Management
5.Effective communication, organizational, managerial and analytical skills.
6.Ability to recognize problem/issues and develop effective solutions. Requires independent judgment/decision making within areas of responsibility
7.Ability to travel (travel is not the norm but may be required occasionally)
8.Manufacturing industry experience preferred but not essential
