The post is for 22 hours a week Monday - Wednesday.
The working hours may vary on occasion dependent on the needs of the LRC and the College.

The Learning Resource Centre (LRC) currently has a part-time opportunity for an Assistant Learning Resource Centre Manager to join the team. The post will be for 1 year initially to cover maternity leave for the current post holder. This is an exciting opportunity to join a friendly and supportive team delivering an information and enquiry service to FE and HE students and staff. The LRC has recently been fully refurbished and is a welcoming and vibrant environment in which students work independently towards their qualifications. The LRC Assistant Manager will be responsible for planning and delivering information training sessions; participate in the day to day running of the LRC in conjunction with a job-share partner; assist with acquisitions and administration of materials; assist with the supervision of the LRC team; and take an active role in promoting and monitoring LRC services and resources. The post holder will have an outgoing and friendly attitude towards working with young adults.
The successful candidate will have experience of working in a customer-focused environment and have excellent team working skills. The ability to develop and maintain good working relationships is essential and therefore the candidate will need to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A flexible approach and positive attitude towards helping students achieve is essential in the role.
A degree or post-graduate degree in library/information services, or a willingness to work towards this. A minimum of 5 GCSEs (grades A-C, including English & Maths). An IT qualification or equivalent experience.
