Software Project Manager Training Contract-All grads

Our client is an award-winning software development company and a Microsoft Gold partner, engaged in building exciting, technical, custom-made software systems, with reputable clients, based in south London.

The projects you will train on are varied and exciting and the company strives to create a fun and caring office environment. This includes a floor dedicated to a games room, a free salad bar, breakfast, snacks at 4 pm, project-orientated team outings and regular company-wide events.

They are looking to employ bright graduates and train them to become professional Project Managers with an excellent career progression path.

At least 1-year commercial working experience is preferred and the key skills for this role are:

- Excellent attention to detail;

- Analytical thinking;

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;

- Planning, scheduling and monitoring skills;

- Flexible approach to work with a focus on delivery to deadlines and high standards.

Key Responsibilities (training will be provided):

- Managing Agile software projects;

- Project risk and issue management;

- Customer-facing activities, progress reporting, stakeholder management, expectation setting

- Team monitoring and motivating; and

- Leading and attending client meetings, including analysis sessions, project demonstrations, print reviews etc;

Full training and support will be provided to the successful applicants.

If you succeed and are awarded a training contract with our client, you will start as a Trainee Project Manager and throughout the first year receive an unprecedented amount of training, support and mentoring from their highly skilled senior team. More advanced training will then follow along with the opportunity to contribute to amazing cutting-edge projects and learn from the senior management team within the company until you master the modern technologies, processes and practices of software development and become a Senior Project Manager by the end of the fourth year. Also, your annual salary will typically raise by £5,000 every year, leaving you with almost double the income by the end of your initial contract.

If successful in your application, dependent on your performance, the usual progression path is as follows

- 1 year – Trainee Software PM;

- 1-2 years – Junior Software PM;

- 2-3 years – Software PM;

- 3 years + – Senior PM.
