You will be working for a large and reputable construction company, offering a top notch scheduling service. You will be working in a small and highly productive local office.
Working within a team of Schedulers you will be resopnsible for co-ordinating the various trade specialists such as electricians, plumbers, carpenters and maintenance operatives to visit their customers across a wide geographical area and carry out the required maintenance work. As well as keeping in regular contact with these contractors, you`ll also be liaising with tenants for both urgent and non urgent faults. You will have the ability to stay calm in difficult situations and work to pacify issues which require urgent attention. A solid geographical knowledge is required to ensure the smooth running of the diaries and excellent customer service experience is essential in this position; empathy and initiative are characteristics you will need to demonstrate, along with a thick skin at times!
You will have experience of working in a scheduling or coordinating role or demonstrate transferable skills, be confident providing excellent customer service and comfortable working in a busy, fast paced environment. A working knowledge of social or private housing would be beneficial but not essential.
The start date given is an estimate, it depends on the successful candidate`s notice period after the interview process is complete but candidates who are available immediately or within a 2 week period are preferred.
