FINTEC recruit is seeking a Senior Electrical Systems Design Engineer for our engineering design client in North Scotland. This is a permanent role with attractive salary and bonus structure and relocation assistance. You will contribute to all phases of product lifecycle from concept to design and development verification. Working as part of a multi skilled engineering team made up of electronic, mechanical design and software engineers.
Skills and Qualifications required:
- Detailed understanding of design and implementation electrical installations (BS 7671)
- Inspection Test Plans / Witness Testing
- Minimum 4 years professional experience of the full lifecycle of electrical project development.
- Significant industrial experience and training, or honours degree in a relevant subject.
- Proven ability to work in a small multifunctional project team (including electronics, mechanical, software, and qualification engineers).
Desirable skills and experience:
- Safety System Design and certification (IEC 61508, IEC 61551, ISO 26262).
- Power interrupts (Solid State, contactors, isolators, fusing etc)
- System Integration (Modbus, CAN, RS232, RS485, TCP/Ethernet)
- Design documentation.
- Reliability engineering (FMECA, MTBF calculation etc)
- Excellent written, verbal communication and organisation skills
