Account Manager

The Role

Due to their growing client base, they are looking to add a highly motivated and organised Account Manager to its sales team. This position will be responsible for managing existing client relationships, identifying and building a new client base, managing a portfolio of customers, and actively developing new sales opportunities for the company.

This position will be office based working from both their Aberdeen & Edinburgh offices, as required. The Account Manager will be expected to attend daily client meetings and may require overnight accommodation, the position will receive a monthly car allowance.

Responsibilities
- Main point of contact for customer account management queries
- To build and maintain long-term client relationships
- To attend regular on-site client meetings
- Negotiate contracts, and close agreements and generate quotes to the client
- Build a good working relationship with internal teams
- To track and capture all sales opportunities within the IT sales pipeline system, generating weekly sales reports for the senior management team
- Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors
- To have an awareness as to status of each project being delivered to clients and work in partnership with department heads in the communication to end client, as appropriate
- Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas
- Working closely with the Sales Director in identifying and securing new sales opportunities, identifying and growing new opportunities on territory
- Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed

Requirements
- Working experience from within the IT sector would be beneficial for this role
- Proven work experience in a highly customer focussed environment
- Full driving licence
- Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization
- Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs
- Highly organised and able to manage own diary
- Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
