Job Description:

Lecico are seeking an experienced Moulding Production Manager to join their sanitaryware team. The role would centre around the day to day management of the product development departments. It would involve overseeing blocking, casing and mould-making operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Managing and coordinating new and existing product development projects.
  • Evaluating and resolving technical and production issues along with product design optimisation.
  • Generating product specifications.
  • Recommending the improvement of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements.
  • Bringing new products to market by analysing proposed requirements and establishing time schedules and timelines with engineering and manufacturing.
  • Managing operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees to projects and performance managing the results
  • Managing workforce by recruiting, selecting, and training employees.
  • Leading technical/modelling team, ensuring assigned project goals and objectives are achieved while following established development processes and procedures.
  • Reviewing technical reports and recommend appropriate modifications or adjustments in order to meet specifications and timelines.
  • Assessing equipment requirements to achieve objectives and manage the costing, planning and purchasing of any additional equipment.
  • Responsible for the creation of cross-functional teams.
  • Researching, managing and implementing the introduction of new modelling and casting technology.

The Individual:

  • Ideally will have at least 5 years’ experience working in the sanitaryware industry
  • Will have experience in modelling, blocking and casing
  • Experience in new product development
  • Must be familiar with technical drawings and documents.
  • Should have experience in CAD modelling.
  • Should ideally have experience in tool & gauge design.
  • Will have proven leadership skills and be able to work in a team, with experience of working to tight deadlines.
