Are your strong IT and database skills and thorough understanding of data security complemented by a willingness to work flexibly across a wide geographical area? Are you ready for a working life that’s varied and rewarding and provides an opportunity for both personal and professional growth? Then join us as a Data
and you could soon be playing a vital support role while putting your skills and experience to excellent use.

A well-established charity that helps ex-offenders and disadvantaged people to move their lives forward, St. Giles Trust offers support to help people overcome any issues that might be holding them back. Often, this is provided by the people who know best how to help - those who have been there themselves. This particular post is part of a Cabinet Office funded project that will provide a vital Through The Gate service aimed at reducing reoffending.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Providing data and administration support to resettlement teams within a custodial setting to ensure they maintain timely and accurate records of client interventions and meet contract requirements
  • Contributing to ensuring compliance with systems and procedures, standards and performance targets relating to our administrative functions
  • Managing, organising, developing and updating recording systems and collecting and collating data as required, including monthly monitoring
  • Supporting the Wales Manager and Team Manager in contract monitoring and reporting and helping a Resettlement Caseworker to achieve contract targets and a high quality service
  • Developing and maintain good partnership working with prison staff and the Partnership Manager.

And what you’ll need:

  • Experience of using Word, Excel, Outlook and databases on a day-to-day basis, great problem solving skills and the ability to deal with routine and work systematically when required
  • Good organisational and communication skills, particularly in relation to managing queries and liaising with colleagues
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate work to required timescales while following guidelines and making sure the team complies with all data integrity requirements
  • The ability to work on your own initiative or with little supervision and to set priorities when under pressure, escalating issues to a higher level where necessary
  • A flair for quickly grasping new systems, maintaining confidentiality and complying with St. Giles Trust and funder requirements

In return you can expect a competitive salary and generous leave allowance, staff pension scheme, flexible working, a mentoring programme, an advice & counseling service, childcare vouchers, season ticket loan and much more besides.
