This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic Sales Manager to join a growing team, at a newly renovated Hotel based in Nottingham. You will receive a competitive salary, plus excellent benefits.

The Hotel is part of a collection which consists of 12 hotels under the Accor banner including Mercure, Novotel and Ibis Brands Brands. The hotel has been fully refurbished in the last 12 months at a cost of over £3 million.

The Sales Manager Role:

The Sales Manager position is a key role focused on developing MICE and corporate business in all areas of the hotel from within the local market. Working closely with the hotel’s General Manager and Regional Sales Manager the ability to source, develop and grow revenues from both new and existing clients will be crucial. In addition the role involves being an effective host with an ability to showcase the hotel in a professional and effective way. Delivering a consistent level of customer service to all clients will be essential to success in this role.

Sales Manager key responsibilities:

  • Work within a team and report to the General Manager & Regional Sales Manager.
  • Proactively seek out new accounts for accommodation and conferences and increase market share for the hotel.
  • Demonstrate bringing best practice new account planning to the team along with a high focus of joining up with teams across the business.
  • Managing and progressing opportunities through the sales pipeline (short, medium and long term), coordinating support and driving activity.
  • Proposal support on selected pitches / proposals.
  • Lead the promotion, execution and communication of client feedback.
  • Will have proven experience in a similar proactive sales role within a 3 and 4 star market place.
  • Will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, highly organised, passionate and self-motivated, confident and tenacious with a creative flare.
  • Be an effective team leader and team player working towards the groups key objectives
  • and targets.
  • Promotions and Local Marketing:
  • Animate your hotel locally and in line with the business strategy.
  • Christmas – the brochure production, distribution, animation, booking and payment process.
  • Local and ad hoc events and promotions – appropriate to the hotel needs.
  • Weddings – Activity based upon the importance, location and potential
  • Identify need periods and undertake comprehensive program of sales activity to secure new and ad hoc business minimizing the impact of low activity periods
