We are looking to recruit a Senior Comms Officer role for this international development charity, this is a fixed term contract until October 2018 to start asap. For the right candidate they will consider someone part time. The RoleProvide high quality written and visual information/materials to support the organisations objectives such as fact sheets, case studies, media packs, media releases, reports Write, edit and proofread communications and other department materials, including digital, to ensure brand consistency and complianceProvide communications support to fundraising teams Devise and deliver multi-channel targeted communications campaigns Lead for UK on specified streams of joint global communications work Proactively develop and maintain relationships with key broadcast, print and new mediaProactively research and place stories with media writing press releases, Op Eds, Letters to Editors as necessaryLead on response to media enquiries in a timely and appropriate way The CandidateMinimum 4 years work experience in a communications roleDemonstrable knowledge and understanding of the media with a track record of effective targeting and achievementExperience of campaigning activity and campaigns media Excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to adapt and appeal to various audiences Proven ability and confidence to communicate, influence and negotiate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders IMPORTANT NOTEOur aim is to respond to all successful applications within 5 days.
