The Service have an exciting opportunity for two suitably qualified IT Technicians to join the Service's IT team to effectively and efficiently support, administer and contribute to the digital modernisation of the ICT infrastructure.
The ICT team is key in the design, development, delivery and maintenance of the Service's ICT infrastructure, in an ever increasing agile approach. Ensuring a customer focused, feature rich, system design and secure environment are at the forefront of everything they do. They are now seeking to appoint two innovative and proactive ICT Technicians, who will be fundamental team members, primarily responsible for the efficient operation, maintenance and development of the Service's servers, clients, peripherals and applications.
The Role:
The main elements of the role are; to provide support for all ICT users by ensuring the hardware, software, and interfaces within the Service work effectively; the provision of advice and guidance to key stakeholders, involvement in the digital modernisation and change management programmes and projects and ensuring the controls and safeguards are suitable and applied, to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the Service's ICT infrastructure.
The Ideal Candidate:
The successful candidate must demonstrate experience and knowledge in the following areas;
Together with strong communication and interpersonal skills, you will have the ability to contribute and work as part of a busy and flexible team. A current UK full driving licence is also a role essential. There is currently no requirement to participate in the Service's IT call-out scheme; however this position may change in accordance with business needs.
You will be working in a fast-moving, dynamic but rewarding environment where delivery and results really matter. But more than that, your skills, knowledge and experience will be making a real difference helping to safeguard the wider community.
Terms and Conditions:
The successful candidates will be required to undertake a security and vetting clearance due to the location of the role.
The post is conditioned to the Scheme of Conditions of Service for NJC Local Government Services (Green Book).
