Mechanical Fitter / Engineer's Mate
Experienced Mechanical Fitters/Engineers mate required for a large pubic sector company in the Manchester Area. Temporary to permanent role with opportunity of training and progression.

Your new role
You'll work alongside an active maintenance team assisting in the maintenance to all mechanical infrastructure, plant and equipment associated with the National Graphene Institute (NGI) and associated buildings. You will be required to assist in installation work in a technically flexible manner and will be expected to include some elements of an electrical engineering discipline, whilst working within the levels of a known competency.

What you'll need to succeed
You'll be City & Guilds/NVQ Level 1 or 2 or equivalent qualified in Mechanical Engineering or building services related discipline. You will also hold / be working towards or have experience within an Electrical discipline. You will be willing to undertake additional training in order to develop your career and skills. Previous maintenance experience within the public sector would be beneficial but no essential. In addition, you will also have a strong work ethic and be capable of working independently as well as part of a team, and will be comfortable with and aware of the demands of working a customer-facing role. With the company currently undergoing huge expansion operations, the ability to react quickly and professionally to changing environments is a must.
