CDM are working with a Tier 1 Automotive manufacturing company and require Multi Skilled Maintenance Technicians for permanent roles in the Assembly Maintenance Team and the Press Maintenance Team.
The primary function of the role will be to provide breakdown support to manufacturing areas, carry out improvements and preventative maintenance on equipment at our Cannock site. The roles will involve working on a shift pattern that could be either 3 shifts (early, late, nights) or continentals and a degree of flexibility is required around shift working. Shift premiums are paid on top of basic rate:
3 Shifts - early shift & late shift = 10% SA, nights = 25% SA
Continentals - 26% SA
Basic Salary will be circa GBP29k Plus the above shift allowances.
Responsibilities
• Carryout fault finding activities and undertake timely repair of equipment in the following areas; Robotics, PLC's, Electrical Control Systems, Hydraulics and Pneumatics.
• Undertake planned preventative maintenance activities on automated production facilities.
• Adherence to departmental systems (Pm, recording downtime) (Pirana).
• Improvements to assembly equipment (Kaisan).
• Key performance indicators such as equipment OEE.
What do you need?
• A recognised electrical or mechatronic apprenticeship / HNC
• 17th Edition Regulations
• Proven problem solving skills using structured approach
• IT Literate - MS Office & AutoCad
Technical Knowledge
• Experience with PLC and HMI's
• Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Knowledge of the MIG welding and Spot welding process
• Knowledge of Robotic Welding (ABB/Motorman/Fanuc)
• Reasonable level of mechanical aptitude including welding, fabrication and mechanical fitting
• Experience within an automotive maintenance environment and knowledge of maintenance systems
