37.5 hours per week
£19,500 per annum

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and self-motivated person to maintain our flats, offices, communal and commercially let areas at YMCA Eastbourne, a community accommodation project for vulnerable young people aged 16-24 years. 

You will carry out maintenance/repair work or redecoration as required and notified by staff or the Compliance and Facilities Manager.

You must have good experience of maintenance skills, including carpentry and basic plumbing. There will be aspects of lone working and working as a team. 

You will need to have enthusiasm and a genuine desire to help support the young people we work with. You will need an understanding of the issues faced by vulnerable young people, and the ability to deal with sometimes challenging behavioural situations

You must be capable of carrying out the physical aspects of the job and it is essential you hold a current, valid driving licence.
