Be part of something dynamic and join us as a Project Manager for the Top Employer in the UK.
We have exciting requirements for Project Managers to join our Public Sector business in Scotland. Initially you will join this this fast paced and client facing delivery programme, working on client site offices in central Edinburgh. The aim of the programme is to deliver IT solutions within software and applications.

CGI's Public Sector business has been expanding significantly over the last year due to the increase in client projects from both new and existing business.

Your future duties and responsibilities: As the project manager you will ensure the delivery of high quality functioning IT systems that fully meets the defined client requirements. You will build and maintain excellent relationships with the customer to ensure that delivery meets and exceeds their expectations and business needs.

You will manage the detailed tracking project plan, providing a weekly status report, and highlighting progress against agreed baseline plans. Also you will be responsible for the project team providing leadership, advice, guidance, coaching and direction in order to maximise the team's effectiveness and efficiency.

You will be working closely with Programme Manager, PMO, Drop Leads, Test Manager, UAT Manager and other associated Leads.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role: You will need to demonstrate experience of having led and managed software projects, ideally using multiple delivery methods including waterfall and agile.

Experience of managing software improvement projects in parallel with major change deliveries and being in a client facing environment is essential.

Also you will require experience leading development across the entire life-cycle and experience of having worked as part of a wider programme team, ideally with PMO / Project Support experience.

You must be commercially aware, able to demonstrate experience of scope management, experience of managing external suppliers and have strong planning skills, with demonstrable experience of having built a plan for end-to-end delivery of a project.
