10520 - Finance Manager Job Spec
Location: Kettering

Our Client, an established company based in Kettering, are seeking to recruit a Finance Manager to join their Operations Finance team on a full-time permanent basis. The role is a new position that has come about through a recent round of investment & process improvement.

The role is responsible for the full capital process of the company, from initial Capital Request through to completion; including monitoring of project spend (approx. £20m annually), capitalisation and disposal of assets. Key to the role will be the management of the Fixed Asset registers under IFRS, US GAAP and SOX compliance requirements.


Responsibilities:
*Embed the recently issued Capital Policy into the business and suggest enhancements to deliver best practice,
*Own External Reporting on the Fixed Asset Register / Capital Sections of Statutory Accounts, Tax Returns and US Parent Company Reporting Requirements,
*Ensure that the team deliver in an effective and timely manner all transactional processing and external reporting,
*Build effective relationships with the key stakeholders in the Capital / Procurement / IT teams to ensure that efficiency and control benefits are realised and that SOX / AX processes are enhanced,
*Challenge Capital Requests to ensure in line with policy and appropriate Capital vs. Revenue classification is maintained,
*Ensure that essential spend is prioritised in line with budget constraints,
*Ensure that the team delivers in line with the business planning cycle with relevant actual and forecast data.

Reporting to: Senior Operations Finance Manager


Knowledge, Skills & Experience
*FMCG, retail, wholesale or food manufacturing background,
*Solid business partnering experience,
*Understanding of requirements of a US-listed business (SOX experience preferred),
*Exposure to Microsoft Dynamics AX2012R3 or similar ERP systems,
*Strong academic background / CIMA, ACCA or ACA.

*Flexibility to work in a changing environment,
*Strong relationship building skills and the ability to communicate at all levels,
*Advanced Excel and analytical skills,

Package
*Salary: negotiable (circa £45k-£55k per annum, subject to experience)
*Hours: full-time 35hrs Mon-Fri 9:00am to 5:00pm (1hr lunch)
*Bonus: circa 10% per annum
*Holiday: 33 days (25 + STAT)
*Pension: 1:2 employee/employer ratio, (min. 2% employee, up to 12% employer)
