Assistant Accountant (Fixed Assets)

I have a fantastic opportunity with NHS England for an Assistant Accountant (Fixed Asset) based in Leeds. This role is a temporary assignment for initially till Dec 2018 with view to being extended thereafter

The post holder will play a key role in delivering financial, programme or management accounting functions, ensuring efficiency, effectiveness and integrity of financial systems and processes. The post holder may, for example, be responsible for:

• Managing financial and capital accounts, development and maintenance of financial systems,
• End to end financial support for national programmes; or
• Supporting budget management across NHS Digital, through rigorous analysis, investigation and challenge.

Skills and Qualifications

Part Qualified Accountant, knowledge of general ledger reconciliation processes, double entry accounting and the ability to work to a high level of accuracy. Full 12 months experience with fixed asset within last 3 years. Good Capital Accounting knowledge

Using IT

• Excellent knowledge and significant experience of Microsoft Excel
• Ability to perform data manipulation including visual presentation and production of non-routine management information
• Extensive experience of Microsoft Office
