Due to their continued growth, they have a brand new opportunity for a Linux Systems Administrator to join their team based in the Media Centre in Huddersfield City Centre.
This is a great opportunity for a talented Linux Systems Administrator who is looking for a genuinely rewarding career helping them to build and manage the next generation of software systems and infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain an existing clients infrastructure.
- Be heavily involved in moving this infrastrucure to AWS.
- Ensure that a high level of service is provided to the business, and work closely with other IT teams to continually maintain and improve overall IT performance.
- Ensure that all issues are resolved on-time and within scope.
- Take ownership of incident, problem, change, service management activities.
- Maintain high standards of quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits.

Essential Skills
- You'll need to know your way around a Linux based server (or other UNIX based systems) and will currently be supporting systems to a 3rd line level.
- You'll be happy enough with tasks such as shell scripting, analysing log files, managing user accounts and the day to day needs of a Linux based infrastructure.
- Tools such as Puppet won't be a problem for you and you'll be happy working with them to keep the infrastructure working at it's best.
- You'll jump at the chance to get the infrastructure working on AWS.
- You're well organised and detail orientated - you'll want to make sure all the servers are performing as well as they can.
