Compliance and Regulatory Manager - Childrens Services
Base Location: Home - based with extensive travel throughout the North of England and Scotland
Salary: £42,000 - £45,000 Per annum

About The Role:
A new opportunity has been created for compliance and regulatory manager looking to progress their career with a fast growing health and social care provider listed on the stock market.

Reporting to the Quality, Compliance and Regulation Director you will lead the compliance and assurance programme for all CareTech Children's services in the North of England and Scotland. A key priority will be to establish and maintain strong relationships with all relevant external regulators and to provide expert advice and assistance in all care and education related regulatory matters across Children's services.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- To support the implementing and managing of quality assurance, inspection and audit practices to provide assurance of the on-going quality and safety of CareTech Children's services.
- To share best practice that will enhance the reputation of CareTech as a high quality provider of care, education and support to Children and young people across the range of CareTech of services.
- To monitor the processes and procedures which ensure the safety and welfare of all Children served by the Company and to monitor practice throughout identified services, responding urgently and appropriately to any concerns that might arise
- To work closely with operational teams and support senior managers and the Executive to drive continual quality improvement within the Company and to provide ongoing support and monitoring to ensure compliance and improvement against regulation and good practice guidance
- To develop and implement national and local strategies and operational plans, for increasing and enhancing a performance culture across Children's services that delivers robust evidence based best practice
- To provide the Compliance & Regulation Director with regular service reports on progress with improving standards and compliance, learning from practice, child protection concerns and to analyse quality assurance patterns and trends across all services
- To urgently advise the Compliance & Regulation Director of any emergency child protection issues and support the Managing Director in the investigation and embedding any learning from all Child Protection incidents.
- To carry out investigations, as required by the Quality, Compliance & Regulation Director, and to work in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to develop, implement and monitor remedial action plans
- To promote the corporate quality assurance agenda ensuring that Operational Managers include the Company's quality assurance methodology in agreements with Health and Social Care Commissioners
- To communicate CareTech Community Services' vision and values clearly in all aspects of the role
- Attendance as required by the Director of Quality, Compliance & Regulation, at national forums/events in order to promote learning and adoption of best practice service and quality models across Children's services
- To develop a business culture based on quality that will deliver successful commercial outcomes which position
CareTech Community Services as a leading Industry Provider of services for Children with complex needs

The successful candidate will have the following:
- Previous experience of working in the same or a similar role
- An understanding of regulation, quality and contemporary Children's services provision
- An up to date knowledge and expertise in Children's Safeguarding and relevant legislation
