Position:  Logistics & Shipping Coordinator 

Job Type:  Permanent, Full-time 

Salary:   £25,000.00 to £30,000.00 per annum 

Experience:  Minimum 3 years 

Logistics & Shipping Coordinator

This is an exciting opportunity to join Logenix International as a valued member of the small team in our new London office, based near Leatherhead. Logenix are an expanding global logistics provider specialising in services to and throughout the developing world for a wide range of clients. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing shipments from around the world for the company’s European based clients. 

Duties include 

• Liaising closely with customer clients and their sub suppliers
• Negotiating shipping rates with carriers and airlines
• Arranging collections/deliveries with hauliers/warehouses
• Working with suppliers to ensure customer deadlines are met
• Booking international air and sea freight shipments
• Communicating with overseas agents and brokers
• Data entry in to company’s Shipping Management System
• Preparing shipping documentation
• Maintaining accurate up to date shipment and tracking logs 

Skills required

• Experience handling air and ocean shipments
• Knowledge of customs procedures and documentation
• Good communication skills
• Strong customer service focus
• Ability to work within tight deadlines 

To be considered for the position we would ideally like someone with at least 3 years’ experience in international shipping, preferably with some experience in shipping Dangerous Goods.
