Deputy Childcare Manager (Childcare, Residential Care, Behavioural) BLUD62091
Merseyside
Salary up to £25,000.00pa (depending on experience), based on 37.5 hours per week (plus £50 sleep in)

Our client is a family run not-for-profit organisation providing residential and supported accommodation services for vulnerable adults, families, and young people.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Deputy Manager to join their well-established Childcare Service. The Deputy Manager will work alongside the Registered Manager to deliver the services of a newly refurbished 4-bed, Tier 3/Tier 4 Children’s home. The home provides therapeutic care for children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties.

As Deputy Manager you will be responsible for assisting the Registered Manager in the supervision and mentoring of staff, organisation of work patterns, facilitation of care focussed training, and accessing of appropriate services to support the childcare practices within the home.

In the absence of the Registered Manager, you will hold responsibility for the day-to-day running of the home ensuring the delivery of high-quality care for the children and young people who reside within the home.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in providing care in a Registered Children’s Home and will hold a Diploma Level 3 in Children and Young People. In addition, the successful candidate will hold a Diploma level 5 in Leadership and Management (or willing to work towards), hold a full UK driving license, and have demonstrable residential childcare experience.

In return for your commitment to the role, our client is not only offering a competitive salary, but the opportunity for personal and professional development through extensive specialist training. You will benefit from continuous support from the Director of Childcare, their in-house Psychotherapist and receive a company mobile phone, free parking, and mileage as part of the package.
