Named a Sunday Times Best Company to Work for in 2018 and eight previous years, as well as being an Investors in People Champion, our client is extremely proud of their people.

They are a values driven organisation committed to achieving their mission of ‘One team, transforming lives’, but they’re also entrepreneurial, maximising the value of their money and resources.

They now have two opportunities available for accomplished Building Surveyors to join them to work closely with range of stakeholders including in-house contractors, partner contractors, subcontractors and tenants/customers, to deliver a wide range of repairs services.  They currently have one permanent and one 12-month contract role available, both on a full time basis.

Conducting in depth surveys utilising specialist equipment to assist in diagnosis of disrepair issues and any minor structural defects, you must carry out ‘work in progress’ visits and audit inspections to ensure that specifications and quality standards are complied with whilst preparing schedules of work and prioritising the work as required.

Identifying repairs to void dwellings as part of our process for the re-letting of properties, you will obtain accurate and detailed information about necessary repairs/improvements to properties and undertake a range of surveys, i.e., HHSRS, Legionella and Asbestos.

Candidates for these roles must hold a recognised building related qualification (ONC or equivalent minimum), have a trade background and experience of working in a social housing environment.  Experience and knowledge of Disrepair protocol resolving claims is essential and you must have a comprehensive understanding of Legionella management, the L8 ACOP and the application of the HHSRS legislation.

With a comprehensive understanding of dampness and condensation related defects and resolutions, you will have experience of dealing with building contractors and knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements including Health and Safety, CDM, Asbestos at work and the Party wall act.

Closing Date: 2nd May 2018
