STORES & LOGISTICS MANAGER

Powersystems UK Ltd is a high voltage engineering company specialising in electrical power infrastructure, grid connections and renewable generation. Due to Continuing success within these sectors and expansion leads to this vacancy. We are seeking an experienced Stores & Logistics Manager to take up a key position at our head office in Bristol.  

Key Duties     

Negotiate with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing is achieved.

Maintain adequate level of stock to ensure continuity of service to site teams.

Conduct regular stock takes to ensure accuracy of stock level information.

Organise the logistics of spares from stock to nationwide site teams ensuring the timely flow of works.

Liaise with Project & Site teams to ensure stock levels are flexed as required based upon forecasted usage.

Propose alternative suppliers and spares in order to maintain service and cost base.

Check incoming goods upon receipt and store appropriately.

Responsibility for the off-site storage yard.

Maintain the stores areas in clean and tidy environment.

Responsible for the facilities management of the stores areas.

Fleet management for both the site and office based company vehicles and plant.

Procurement and disposal of company vehicles / plant as required.

Support with the development and mentoring of junior staff.

Project a professional image to clients and colleagues.

Contribute to the future success of Powersystems UK Ltd and its clients.

Key qualifications and experience

Experience with purchasing best practices and stores management in a contracting or fast moving business.

Experience with stock inventory computer based systems.

Have good industry knowledge of electrical spares and components.

You will be confident in liaising with all internal and external stakeholders.

You will have good organisational skills.

5S experience would be desirable.

Flexible and organised to manage workload to meet deadlines

Ability to work proactively on own or as part of a team

Excellent IT and communication skills

Full UK Driving licence.
