About the teamWe have an opportunity for a Manager to join the international tax and treasury team in the Midlands.

We are a close-knit team of about a dozen people across the Midlands who provide specialist international tax advice to large corporate clients across a wide range of industry sectors, as part of the wider large corporate tax advisory team.

Our client base is a diverse mix, but we have a particular focus on serving large groups based out of the US Midwest, Ireland, Germany, Sweden and France; this offers a wide range of different tax issues and experiences and involves us in working closely with other PwC Network firms giving us the opportunity to develop relationships across the international network.

You will be involved in a wide range of issues and transactions such as international mergers and acquisitions, holding and financing, intellectual property, treasury, wider corporate tax advisory and international aspects of annual compliance/risk reviews. We are particularly involved in advising clients on how major tax law changes affect their particular facts and circumstances - for example, the various law changes that have and will arise as a result of the OECD BEPS initiative.

You will be working directly with Senior Managers and also, at times, our tax directors and partners. Your role will involve building relationships with and providing advice to a portfolio of clients and also assisting with adhoc queries and specific projects as they arise. Our aim is excellent client service, from complex structuring to compliance related matters, working as Trusted Advisors to our clients.

You will be based at our Birmingham office but as we are a team based across the Midlands the role with involve working with colleagues in our East Midlands office and occasionally working from there.
