In January, February and March 2018 we will be looking to start new colleagues into our stores in Hampshire and the South Coast and with the right skills and attributes there is nothing to stop you from being a Store Manager in as little as 12 months!

What will I be doing?

Our job at Majestic is to help customers discover and buy wines that they will love! You'll start your career at the heart of our business as a Trainee Manager. Put simply, you'll spend your time -

Delivering exceptional service to every customer, in-store and out on deliveries in our vans, so they keep coming back.

Using your growing wine wizardry to help us dispel the belief that wine is a pompous product, bring wine to life and help our customers find and buy wines they love.

Helping to run a smooth operation, ensuring your store is spick and span, fully stocked and a great place to shop.

Being a team player and contributing to your store success and sales targets.

Learning. With plenty of hands on experience and regular visits to the Support Centre, we'll arm you with all the knowledge you need to become a future retail guru. As for wine, through training, tastings and study we'll give you all the tools and support you need to sit the WSET Level 2, and pass with flying colours to become a fully fledged wine wizard.

We're looking for candidates with a minimum of 2 years' managerial experience in the retail or hospitality industry. Seasoned professionals who are at home writing business plans, and working with profit and loss statements. You'll also need to have the following qualities in spades, which all Majestic managers share???

Relationship builders: Your middle name is networking, so building and nurturing long-term business relationships to help Majestic grow comes as naturally to you as a winning smile and a handshake.

Wine lovers: If you're not a wine expert already, you're excited about studying to become one, and using that knowledge to help your team and customers.

Natural salespeople: You're a great communicator. Articulate, persuasive, and able to put customers at ease. People just want to buy from you.

Doers: You make things happen. When a problem needs fixing, you fix it. When something needs doing, you take ownership.

Grafters: Retail can be tough, the hours long and the work hard. So you'll need bags of energy and determination. But when the going gets tough, you're in your element.

Flexible people: You want to get on fast, so when opportunities and challenges arise, you're happy to work in different locations if needed.

Smart cookies: You have a degree or relevant qualification, or a successful track record in your career to date.

Good drivers: You're over 20 years old and have held a full (UK valid) driving license for at least 12 months.

Workaholics: Retail is no 9-5 job. There are busy sales periods, weekends, and wine exams to study for. It can be a challenging environment. But for people with drive and commitment, a highly rewarding one.
