Support Worker

Peabody has an exciting opportunity for a Support Worker to join the team based in Uttlesford and Saffron Walden. You will be there on a full time or part time, permanent basis and you will be offered a competitive salary of £17,063 per annum- £8.75 per hour/part time will be pro rata.

The Support Worker role:

We are currently recruiting female* support workers to join our team  providing care and support for people with a learning disability living in the Saffron Walden/Uttlesford area.  You should be positive, kind and caring and be focussed on encouraging choice, self-worth and assisting our customers to get out and about enjoying themselves in the local community. 

We are also interested in talking to people who would like to go on our ‘relief’ list to work on an as and when basis to fit around your lifestyle. It doesn’t matter if you don’t have experience as we offer a thorough induction and training package.  All we ask is that you are enthusiastic, willing to learn and want to make a difference.

Our customers require support to  access community activities and  private appointments, so as our Support Worker you will therefore need access to a car or other independent means of transport to facilitate this.
