Job Description

We are seeking someone to join our team as the Strategic Campaign Manager to lead the work on one of our clients broad reputation campaign. Our goal is to lift the reputation of our client and position them as a catalyst for positive change, ultimately leading to a greater demand among cities to host.

The person needs to be senior in client counselling ability, and have experience of designing a political/computational campaign approach from the ground up. They should then be comfortable in driving the execution of the campaign, both in terms of joining the dots and adjusting strategy as things progress, but also pulling the various campaign levers as needed (e.g., media relations, public affairs, digital content, internal leaders, etc.).

The individual will be supported by a WPP team active across communications strategy, issues management, public affairs, content creation, and branding, and a broad internal team.

Specific tasks:

  • Analyse status quo in terms of the clients reputation, including key stakeholder segmentation, existing strengths, and priority problem areas
  • Design a campaign with all key stakeholders in mind, and a practical execution plan
  • Formulate budget for campaign and monitor compliance with it
  • Determine how to allocate campaign resources, such as in media advertisements
  • Monitor progress and report back to client on optimisation opportunities
  • Generate and run an integrated approach that goes across all key campaign elements (including but not limited to social media, media relations, public affairs, employee engagement)
  • Build the appropriate team members (both internal at the client side and on the agency side) to deliver
  • Proactively manage senior clients to ensure engagement and alignment
