We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an Audit Senior to join this leading internationally focussed team who travel around the world auditing grants issued by the EU for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid.

The team audits grants issued to charities, NGO's and corporate organisations to ensure funding granted is used in accordance with the grant terms. This is a brilliant opportunity for an Audit Senior to combine their technical aptitude with a love for travelling and interest in the EU/the NFP sector more widely. Assignments take place across the world wherever humanitarian aid is being delivered which often means travelling to places suffering due to conflict or political instability. The time spent with each organisation in the area of action varies between 3 and 5 days depending on the level of in-country access available due to security issues and the distance between country offices, field offices and project sites. Whilst it is not a requirement to have experience of working in high risk security contexts it is an advantage.

The successful candidate will be expected to perform a role that involves undertaking field audit trips throughout the year ranging from 1 week to 5 weeks per trip (average number of trips anticipated to be in the region of 5 to 6); and participating in at least 2 HQ audits per annum.

The Firm has a track record of promoting staff in merit. Their people are visible, accountable and fundamental to their success - you won't get lost in the crowd. Professionalism, motivation, initiative and the ability to communicate at all levels are some of the key skills they look for. Having a collegiate engaging approach is key to the practice, which has a sports and social committee that organises monthly events for the entire Firm to take part in. Recent and upcoming events have included Thorpe Park, paint balling, a comedy festival, cocktail making class, a golf day, a spa day and a Firm wide BBQ.

In order to be considered you should be a qualified Audit Senior, or equivalent. You should have strong interpersonal and organisational skills, as well as an evident passion for the sector. The successful incumbent must be fluent in French due to the nature of the work. An additional European language, such as Spanish, would be advantageous, but is not essential. Experience of the NFP sector and grant auditing would both be advantageous, but is not essential.
