Internal Auditor - FTSE 100 company
Our client, a FTSE 30 company with global operations, seeks a high-calibre and career driven Internal Auditor for its Corporate Internal Audit function following an internal move.
The organisation is going through an exciting period of change, with internal audit providing an independent and objective assurance to the board on the effectiveness of internal controls, aimed at adding value and supporting the organisation in achieving its objectives.
As an Internal Auditor, you will help in the delivery of audits in line with requirements of the Global Audit Process and the milestones agreed as part of the annual audit programme. These audits cover all areas of the business; from finance, procurement, HR and other head office support functions to site-based reviews of GBPmulti-million projects; both in the UK and overseas.
You will work with management to ensure that any potential issues are highlighted and that adequate controls are implemented in order to mitigate risk.
Within the business, internal audit is considered to be a 'talent pool' and there is a strong history of people moving internally to other departments in the UK and to international operations.
Applicants should come from a strong audit background, either internal audit in industry or from external audit in practice. You should be studying for a professional audit or accounting qualification - ACA, CA, ACCA, CMIIA, PIIA, CIA, CISA or equivalent, however individuals with relevant audit experience and who are seeking to study for a formal qualification will be considered on merit.
Whilst based from the Head Office, the role will require around 20% travel to UK sites and more occasional trips overseas, however this is planned well in advance.
Excellent opportunities for further development and training exist both within the audit department or wider business.
