Factory/Machine Operative
Shepton Mallet, Somerset
Morning shifts: 6am-2.30pm, Monday-Friday
Temporary for 12 weeks initially - potential of leading to a permanent position for the right candidate
GBP8.55 per hour starting rate

My client is a growing manufacturer looking for hard-working and motivated production staff to join their team on a temporary basis initially.
About the job:
In this Factory Operative role, you'll play a pivotal part in the day-to-day operation of production machinery and quality control. You will set up and operate production machinery, measuring raw products and loading them into the relevant machinery. You'll then monitor processes to ensure that they are run properly and ensure that quality control and quality assurance tests are performed. You'll inspect finished products to ensure they confirm to quality standards, prepare pallets for packaging and load/unload completed orders into lorries.
What skills and experience should you have?
With at least one year's experience working within a manufacturing environment, you'll be:

Physically fit and strong for manual handling within a fast-paced environment
*
Possess Initiative and a positive can-do attitude
*
Have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
*
A current forklift truck licence / pallet truck experience would be an advantage
*
Previous machine operating experience would be an advantage
