Audio Electronics Technician

Milton Keynes

Permanent, Immediate Start

GBP19,220 - GBP20,280 (dependant on experience)

9am to 5.30pm (Basic 40 hours)

Monday to Fridays option to finish early on Friday (dependant on travel distance)

Our client is looking for a hard working proactive individual who will work on site.

You should have sound practical knowledge of electronics and will be expected to identify different types of components, understand values, provide cost effective solutions and be experienced in soldering processes.

You must be a confident communicator with good clear fluent English to liaise with customers and colleagues in person, on the telephone and in writing emails.

You will be given on the job training but we are looking for someone who can quickly demonstrate their sound electronic awareness and able to see the 'bigger picture.

Responsibilities include:

  • Test, service, repair, re-manufacture and analyse to customer and company
  • Identify faults to down to component level, PCB and component replacement, hand soldering, read schematic diagrams, order required parts, record job information for reports across multiple systems in accordance with company
  • Methodically test using various equipment and problem-solve, providing cost-effective solutions to the identified
  • Follow up closure of jobs efficiently within agreed service
  • Achieve repairing modifications, Service Levels, quality standards, turnaround times and output targets to a high level.
  • Adhere to Quality Control
  • Liaise with customers to communicate repair estimates, timescales and technical feedback via telephone and
  • Maintain a positive reputation with internal and external
  • Being positive and flexible to changing priorities in a varied and challenging work
  • Working necessary hours to ensure work is completed within agreed Service Levels and targets.
  • Manage own workload achieving targets/priorities using good organisational and Microsoft Office

Education and Experience:

  • 3 GCSEs (or equivalent qualification) Grade C or above in Maths, English and another relevant subject (such as a science or computing).
