My client is a weekly boarding and day school catering for up to 110 pupils and students between the ages of 7 and 19 who have a range of academic abilities and with complex special needs including ASD and Speech and language communication difficulties.
It is a wonderful school which offers a truly multi-disciplinary approach which welcomes and celebrates difference and individuality. Teaching Assistants and Behaviour Mentors work collaboratively with therapists and residential care staff to enhance the learning process and provide an exciting waking day curriculum. Staff work together to provide a blended approach to therapeutic and educational input, contextually, both within individual lessons and across the school as a whole.
You
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, self-driven, flexible and talented Teacher to teach English across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.
Role
Candidates must be able to convey the subject to pupils and students who have a range of abilities and monitor and assess to ensure the best possible progress. The successful candidate will have a commitment to developing outstanding practice and a passion for making a difference to the education and lives of our young people by building positive and supportive relationships.
Applications are welcome from both NQTs and experienced teachers. Experience of working within a SEN setting is desirable, but not essential
