Cost Manager
Job Title - Cost Manager
Overview
Conrad Consulting have been retained to source a Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor for a well-known Consultancy based in the heart of Leeds. Due to the ongoing investment through successful growth, we are looking for a Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager to take responsibility for end to end service delivery on large and complex projects.
The successful candidate will have gained experience working within a Quantity Surveyor or Cost Manager role ideally for a Consultancy/PQS organisation and should be competent when it comes to the delivery of small to large sized projects.
Role Responsibilities
??Assist in the development of a cost information database.
??Support the team with strategic cost management exercises; such as cost modelling asset information, lifecycle costing, supporting master-planning cost modelling, setting project budgets for business cases and insurance reinstatement costs.
??Support the team with delivering procurement exercises including; delivery partners for construction related professional services, capital plan works, minor works, facilities management, energy (support and training provided) and allocated estates projects.
??Manage the contract documentation process which includes; preparing contract documents for allocated projects, reviewing returned contracts from external suppliers to ensure all items are completed correctly and in an agreed.
??Assist the team in developing and implementing a new contract management strategy.
??Provide a full cost management/ quantity surveying service on allocated projects, including estimating, tendering, procurement, value engineering and commercial contract management.
??Provide professional guidance on procurement, contractual and commercial matters.
Key Requirements
??Proven track record of delivering construction projects.
??Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar discipline.
??Qualified or working towards MRICS.
??Comfortable interfacing with Senior Management and Stakeholders.
??Excellent analytical skills to make informed, balanced business decision and reporting findings to Clients and Stakeholders.
