Systems Architect
Opportunities exist to become a key member of the growing IT Architecture community in an MOD company, which is responsible for designing, delivering and supporting key corporate Information Systems. The role is based in Bristol.
The Information Architect roles will be required to support the development and maintenance of the Enterprise Architecture to inform the Technology Roadmap and target rationalisation opportunities. The role requires the provision of technical support and expertise in the assessment of emerging IT requirements from across the department and test for compliance against the IT Design Principles. It also requires designing new, innovative IT systems in line with the Design Principles to deliver effective modern solutions to introduce end-user efficiencies.
The successful candidates will be required to support the implementation of I&T Strategy work packages. They will take responsibility for investigating the best approach for technical solutions and deliver more effective business processes. In person, you will have the ability to collaborate and engage with multiple stakeholders and various levels of seniority.
To be considered, you will possess specific knowledge acquired by obtaining a technical/professional qualification and/or post graduate qualification and typically >3 years, post qualification, work experience gained within a similar role.
Examples of relevant knowledge may include:
• Architecture Design Processes ( as characterised by ISO 15288 ).
• Architecture methodologies, such as MODAF, TOGAF and NAF.
• Architecture modelling tools, such as Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect.
• Architecting modelling languages, such as ArchiMate
• Modelling standards such as SySML.
