COMPANY DESCRIPTION, PROFILE AND SCOPE OF ROLE:
This is an exciting opportunity for a career focussed Project Coordinator to work with an established sector leader, and rapidly growing company (Located between Stockton and Darlington), providing cutting edge industrial services and solutions to the manufacturing and engineering sector.
The successful candidate will provide strong project support/coordination and will liaise effectively with customers and internal teams, as well as providing project management support to the Sales Engineering team.
A product design background and/or experience of working with Automotive customers would be advantageous, but not essential.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for the initial technical appraisal and valuation of incoming enquiries
• Involvement in the preparation of quotations.
• Preparing and managing timing plans
• Completing work pack instructions and communication to production.
• Liaising with quality department.
• Approving master models and where applicable authorising dispatch of finish goods.
• Speaking to/liaising with customers and building long term relationships by phone and face to face through visits.
• Working closely with and supporting a dedicated Sales Engineer
• Confirming payment terms prior to order acceptance according to company guidelines.
• Generating and managing timing plans where applicable.
• Being in regular contact with customers.
• Following up quotations and chasing orders when requested
• Approving castings with production when necessary.
• The role is primarily office based with occasional off site visits as required to support customer demands.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:
• Good standard of general education, preferably with a business project management, product design qualification.
• Previous experience of Project Management/Coordination within a fast paced engineering, or manufacturing sales/commercial environment.
• Strong commercial awareness skills are essential.
• Experience/involvement in negotiating would be advantageous, but not essential
• Team player who is willing to help and support others in the wider team.
• Experience gained within an automotive environment would be advantageous.
• Strong technical appreciation of materials, benefits and limitations.
• Knowledge/experience gained within a prototyping environment would be advantageous, but not essential
• Good administrative skills and an eye for detail, including Good IT skills including Excel etc.
• Ability to work within, and plan work within timelines
• Ability to achieve commercial targets and work effectively to deadlines
