Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a fantastic organisation based on the outskirts of Maidstone that is seeking an experienced customer services professional with a good understanding of logistics and exports to join their organisation.

Duties will include:

  • Manage and assist with the order processing, confirmation, invoicing, returns and documentation to ensure customer expectations are met on time
  • Liaise and co-ordinate meetings with all departments to ensure the continuity of processes
  • Manage workflow and efficiencies to ensure all tasks are carried out correctly and in a timely manner both within the Customer Care Team and in conjunction with other departments
  • Manage, review and work to improve processes
  • Oversee and assist with the production of export documentation for all consignments leaving the UK both EU and Non-EU
  • Manage record keeping of all consignments leaving the UK and ensure compliance is met and maintained for HMRC and internal audits
  • Liaise with the Despatch team and oversee the transport of goods in
  • Manage the relationships with transport providers for export consignments in addition to reviewing and negotiating rate agreements, arranging regular meetings and monitoring all transport services levels to ensure providers are meeting agreed KPIs
  • Manage any packing discrepancies or claims as a result of damage or loss whilst in transit with transport providers and in conjunction with Finance and Stock Controlling departments
  • Work with the Warehouse to ensure orders are processed within the specified time frame, including daily consultation to properly manage and assist the workflow around ordering
  • Assist Supply Chain in regards to group ordering/demand and the management of back orders in an effort to maintain availability across the group
  • Be the first point of contact and escalation for all queries for both group companies and internal stakeholders
  • Manage and build relationships with group company colleagues
  • Perform the functions of a power user on company group systems and assist with the testing of all processes
  • Support the Customer Care Team Leader with training in accordance with standard practice and agreed processes
  • Manage reporting on all facets of Exports
  • Management of customer accounts and the updating of any changes in all relevant systems
  • Assist the Customer Care Team with the processing of warranty
  • Manage the processing, return and credit of all group company stock cleanses

Skills and experience required:

  • Working within a customer care environment - essential
  • Understanding of transport & logistics - essential
  • Order Processing
  • A good knowledge and understanding of Export procedures
  • SAP usage experience
  • Ability to communicate confidently to colleagues and customers
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to work as part of a team as well as independently
