Field Service Engineer - South West
Carbon60 are currently recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to work for a large engineering business based in Somerset. The main function of the Field Service Engineer's role will be to install, service, repair and commission valves, actuators and associated equipment at customer sites.
The Field Service Engineer role will require travel to customer sites predominantly in the South West. Training is provided, along with an excellent benefits package.
Main Responsibilities:
* Identify faults, repair and test/commission industrial actuators
* Modify/upgrade actuators
* Complete inspections and health checks on actuators
* Mechanical (and sometimes electrical) installations of actuators and associated retrofit components, pedestals and drive shafts
* Assist with the installations of various valves and penstocks to pipelines and/or filters
* Assist with the survey and service a various valves
* Produce site visit reports, risk assessments and method statements.
Personal Specification:
* Technical qualification/apprenticeship in mechanical/electrical engineering or equivalent experience
* Experience/knowledge of valves would be beneficial, however training will be given
* Electrical qualifications would be useful, but not essential
* The successful candidates will be required to attend training courses and obtain Safety Passport, Confined Space & First Aid certificates.
