Fixed Gas Detection Engineer - North UK
Alecto Recruitment are currently representing a well established and reputable Gas Detection company, now seeking an experienced Fixed Gas Detection engineer to join their successful on site service team in the North UK.
The Company:
With over 80 years combined industry experience, my client is an industry leader in the gas detection market.
Based in the midlands, the company have grown in stature through the provision of excellence - and it is a testament to their excellent customer service and product portfolio that they have built strong customer relationships that bring customers back when equipment is required.
As the title suggests, my client specialise in only gas detection. They are approved UK distributors for top brands including RAE Systems, GDS Technologies, MSA, Crowcon, BW, Honeywell, GasData, GMI and Drager, and as such you will be working across this vast range of equipment day to day.
The role:
I now recruiting for a Fixed Gas Detection Service Engineer to cover Northern England, joining a specialist on-site service department working within a small team.
This company is a growing innovative organisation that values its employees as individuals within a team environment, and as such this is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate seeking good long-term prospects and specialising in something quite niche.
As an experienced Fixed Gas Detection engineer, your duties will be varied from day to day to include but not be limited to:
* The provision of fixed and portable gas detection equipment.
* On site calibration, service, maintenance and repair of fixed and portable gas detection.
* Site surveys and consultation.
* Upgrading and replacement of existing facilities.
* Tailor made, site specific calibration reports.
* 24 hour technical support.
* Fixed and portable gas detection familiarisation and user training.
The Candidate:
I am looking for a technically trained and experienced engineer, with a flexible but hard working personality. Experience in gas detection or a related industry would be preferred, but full technical training will be provided for the right candidate.
This may well be suited to an experienced engineer with good electrical qualifications, or similarly an engineer with good Fire Alarm/security system knowledge.
Covering the South territory, you will be based central to the territory. Candidates from further a field may be considered dependent on experience, but you must have a good understanding of major gas detection brands, including MSA, Drager, BW and Crowcon.
Package:
* GBP30,000 - GBP35,000 basic salary
* Overtime and On Call paid at preferential rates
* Ongoing Manufacturer training and internal development
* Fully expensed company Car
* Credit Card, Phone, Laptop
* 23 days holiday plus bank holidays
