Our client is the most awarded media and events company in the UK and have a growing portfolio of 30 live events covering design, interiors, lifestyle and construction. As well as being specialists in the events sector, the company's creative flare produces well established publications and owns a series of award winning magazines and websites.

They are looking for a new sponsorship account manager to join our consumer home interest event team to help forge lasting and beneficial partnerships across the home interest portfolio. You will need to be a self-starter who is competitive, imaginative, influential, persuasive and self-confident. Working in a fast paced environment; you will need to work with pace and adaptability whilst ensuring successful and accurate proposal delivery for your clients.

What is expected of you
•Calling relevant brands and securing face to face meetings with a variety of brands, as per your designated section
•Prepare proposals and presentations
•Present to Board level, Marketing Directors, client and agency side
•In addition to securing substantial revenue generating packages, you will be given the scope to develop and implement long-term strategic partnerships
•Develop and implement sponsorship packages that meet with deliver both the objectives of the client and substantial long-term revenue for the event(s)
•Ensure sales targets are achieved
•Ensure expected call rates are achieved consistently (60 minutes per day - 5 days per week)
•Develop and grow the existing client base and spend
•Actively and intelligently seek new business
•Ensure all new business is followed up and turned in to repeat business
•Ensure that the quality of sponsor is kept at the highest achievable level
•Manage your clients before, during, and after the show
•Communicate with your Manager to ensure sales targets are being achieved
•Represent your event at all times in a professional manner
•Liaise with the operations team ensuring the smooth running of the exhibition during build-up, the event open times and breakdown
•Communicate with the show management, stand sales, marketing and features teams ensuring the sponsorship inventory is deliverable
•Communicate with credit control to ensure all contracts are fully paid prior to the event
•Communicate with the Sponsorship Production Team who will deliver the deals that you secure
•Ensure accurate and responsible admin for all sponsorship bookings
•Ensure that the in-house database is up to date with contacts and comments
•Support other team members as and when required, and maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude towards the role and the company
•Engage fully in training and development
•Be present at all events that you work on, irrespective of the fact they overlap into a weekend
