I am currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant who has experience working with autism to work within a mainstream Primary School in the LEA of Newham. The role will be to support a child in Key stage 2 who has Autism and challenging behaviour/EBD who requires a patient and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work on a one to one basis.
The school is looking for a committed and focused SEN Teaching Assistant with experience of working previously as a Teaching Assistant in either a SEN or Mainstream School. The pupil that you will be assigned to work 1:1 with has been diagnosed with Autism and challenging behaviour/EBD and requires a Teaching Assistant who is patient yet sets clear boundaries. As the child's one to one Teaching Assistant you must have excellent behaviour management skills.
To be considered you must have experience working as a Teaching Assistant with Autism and challenging behaviour/EBD within a Special Needs School, a Pupil Referral Unit or have experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a mainstream Primary School.
