Minstrell are looking to recruit an experienced Project Engineer / Manager with an engineering background to join the automation engineering team of our market leading client. You will manage the globalisation of the company's own range of automation products. Working closely with engineering supply chain, product technical specialists, realisation engineers and your product development colleagues.
This is primarily an engineering role, project management is an important aspect of the role, but you must be an experienced engineer first and foremost.
Role & Responsibilities
Actively participate in engineering change control process.
Carry out FAT and/or PDI as required at suppliers nationally and internationally.
Communication across teams and to project stakeholders on progress updates.
Maintain documentation database including drawings, BoM's, manuals etc. for all variants.
Ensure relevant compliance nationally and internationally.
Supporting new and existing suppliers with their engineering enquiries and challenges.
Work closely with supply chain to support the transfer of manufacturing to new suppliers around the world.
Working with planning colleagues to create and maintain realisation programmes.
Collaborate with product technical specialists and product development team.

Familiarity with "Build to Print" and contract manufacturing as well as small bespoke product conversions
Ability to multitask and manage/prioritise a complex diary with multiple simultaneous activities
Be able to perform unsupervised on your own initiative and as part of a team anywhere in the world
Comfortable in a dynamic, fast paced environment
Commercially aware and consider cost & value impacts on decisions and proposals
Communication of complex technical information in a variety of forms to both technical and non-technical audiences
Good technical competence and understanding relating to both automation and general engineering (including both electrical & mechanical and controls)
Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Suite and ideally MS Project
Proficient with CAD (Solidworks preferred)
Technical qualification, to HND or Degree level
International experience with suppliers, customers & partners
Risk identification and mitigation
Although based in the Hertfordshire head office, you will need the ability and willingness to regularly travel internationally.
