Qualifications Proven experience in a project management, programme management role. Experience working within a global organisation across multiple time zones would be desirable. The Microsoft Research Outreach team is looking for an experiencedAcademic relations Program Manager, in Cambridge, UK, to co-ordinate abroad spectrum of activities for a cross-domain technical team thatsupports Microsoft's connections with, and outreach to, academia andindustry, in EMEA. Domains include computer science, healthcare and postgraduate support. This role requires working closely and effectivelyacross a diverse group of stakeholders and functions at MicrosoftResearch and with our academic and research partners. Academic Relationship Management: managing the relationship with networks of partners in academia (both faculty and students) and research organisations in relation to Outreach projects and programmes. Event Co-ordination: landing key messages and facilitating full logistics for events ranging from small local meetings through to events with international attendees. PhD Scholarship Programme Management: managing the overall process including application, review, selection, and execution in co-ordination with legal, research and finance teams. Engagement Co-ordination and Tracking: co-ordinating the execution and monitoring the progress of engagements with academia and industry, ensuring that timelines and resource allocations are adhered to; maintaining a record of the status and key deliverables for projects; driving related actions to completion. Marketing and Communications Co-ordination: co-ordinating related activities across relevant teams, including collateral preparation, website, PR, and social amplification. Contract Management: preparation, monitoring and recording. Talent Pipeline: supporting related activities in co-ordination with the Human Resources department.
