Income Officer

Are you a proactive social housing professional who has particular strengths in recovering arrears? If so, a housing provider in west Cardiff is recruiting for an Income Officer to start at short notice.

Working under an experienced and approachable Team Manager, you will be joining a team of established and friendly recovery and money advice professionals. You will contribute to the delivery of an excellent income recovery service that incorporates current and former rent arrears, household insurance and water rates.

You will be tasked with monitoring and minimising arrears across a patch of approximately 600 general needs properties. You will visit households who have fallen in to arrears to discuss repayment options and implement settlement plans. Furthermore you will discuss their responsibilities as tenants and the repercussions of entering arrears.

You will be given the autonomy to manage your own workload and will benefit from flexible working conditions. This is an exciting opportunity for somebody who can work on their own initiative, and who enjoys working in a fast paced and challenging environment.

Based in west Cardiff, your place of work is easily accessible from the M4 motorway, and you will benefit from free onsite parking.
