The ASOS Supply Chain Implementation team are a fast moving team that support the implementation of the ASOS global supply chain strategy. The team has a significant capital budget with projects including the setup of new Fulfilment and Returns Centres globally as well as delivering major transformational change within existing operations such as progression from manual solutions to an automated environment. Also supporting the general expansion of logistics infrastructure to keep pace with business growth and improvements in service proposition.

This is an exciting and challenging role. We require someone who has experience in the carrier industry and is abreast of all carrier and industry related innovation.
You will need a detailed understanding of international e-fulfilment propositions and processes.
The main element of this role will be to run business as usual activity for the Delivery Solutions Team managing our Domestic UK carrier partners from our UK fulfilment centre in Barnsley.

The role:

This role is a key function within the team; you will be supporting the implementation of our global strategy. Specifically you will support the Head of Supply Chain Implementation and other team members in ensuring the smooth implementation of major global Supply Chain projects focusing on physical engineering solutions.

What you'll be doing...

  • Supporting the definition of Supply Chain projects from development through to delivery and benefits realization.
  • Supporting the team with the development of conceptual supply chain solutions
  • Assist the team with the development of business cases and working with key stakeholders to enable business/commercial sign off
  • Assist with the management of project budgets.
  • Assessing and optimizing the processes and equipment used in the facility
  • Definition, standardisation and delivery of key assets with the SC projects
  • Ensuring ASOS standards are maintained across different providers/operations whilst ensuring local factors are accounted for.
  • Key point of contact for the project team when assessing what assets are required for the project and driving final signoff on the eventual solution.
  • You will be responsible for completing post implantation reviews on previous deliverables and maintaining a library of specifications for future projects.

We'd Like to meet...

  • Previous experience/exposure to complex Business Change Programmes of work, (desirable that this is within a retail environment)
  • Experience of working with geographically dispersed partners.
  • Desirable but not essential to have some international logistics experience.
  • Understanding of process design, data modelling and re-engineering
  • Project Management Professional Qualification desirable

  • Can do attitude with a hands on approach.
  • Service related focus with the ability to place yourself in the position of the customer to understand their concerns and issues
  • An analytical approach to problem solving, Core Personal and Interpersonal Skills
  • Listening; able to question and clarify explanation of issues/requests from the business users to ensure that their issues/problems are understood.
  • Demonstrable leadership skills, delivery focus and gravitas to project positive energetic attitude and resolve disputes and challenges
  • Commercial and financial acumen
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical information and risks to non-technical users.
  • The ability to use the Microsoft office suite of products to create and edit documents, emails, project plans and presentations
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to present ideas and information to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Must work to a high degree of accuracy with good attention to detail
